The Court of Arbitration for Sport postpones the hearing of Pape Gueye

Olympique de Marseille and Pape Gueye can breathe since the hearing concerning the file on the Senegalese international would have been postponed. OM could recruit during the winter transfer window and the player would be available to play in the World Cup.

More good news for Olympique de Marseille. While the summer transfer window has just ended for OM with 12 recruits, the Marseille management would also be thrilled given the turn of the Pape Gueye file.

According The team, the Court of Arbitration for Sport has decided to postpone the hearing on the Senegalese international until January.

Immediate consequence, Marseille could recruit during the winter market and Gueye would be available for the World Cup with Senegal. However, this situation would have harmed the possible sales of the Marseillais since several clubs would have liked to hire the last scorer of the third in Ligue 1. However, this affair would scare them all.

We recall that a big dispute opposes Watford to the French team when signing the Marseille midfielder. The latter signed up with the Phocaeans when he had already signed a pre-contract with the British team.

Now in the Championship, the former Premier League resident had asserted his rights with the CAS, whose decision has been slow to be revealed for two years. This summer, Pablo Longoria had requested a delay which is therefore extended by a few additional months.
