Jang Geun Suk will make a comeback with the drama ‘Chronicles of Crime’

Jang Geun Suk is a well-known actor, who notably exploded with the drama ‘You’re Beautiful’ several years ago. After many dramas and movies, the actor decided to take a break.

He is now back after several years with a most interesting project!

Coupang Play, which produced “Ordinary Day” with Kim Soo Hyun and “Anna” with Suzy, is back with another exciting series. The company has shared stills from the first table read of director Kim Hong Sun’s soon-to-be-released drama “Chronicles of Crime” starring Jang Geun Suk.

Director Kim was the man behind “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area”, “The Guest” and “Voice”. And this time, he’s about to return with a thrilling new drama.

This upcoming Coupang Play series is a crime thriller that will focus on uncovering the truth behind unsolved past cases through dangerous current cases.

Jang Geun Suk, meanwhile, is set to team up for the first time with actress Lee Elijah, known for her roles in “The Good Detective Season 1” and “Miss Hammurabi.”

Besides them, other main cast members who attended the script reading on August 23 included Heo Sung Tae, Lee Sung Wook, Park Myung Hoon, Lee Seung Joon, Lee Won Jong, Oh Yeon Ah, and more.

After considering several dramatic offers, global star Jang Geun Suk has made his final decision to star in “Chronicles of Crime.” He takes on the role of a lawyer and special homicide detective, Goo Do Han.

Although he has been inactive in the entertainment industry for a long time, he has managed to get in sync and build momentum with his new persona.

Lee Elijah, who did not reprise his role in “The Good Detective” Season 2, is back with another thrilling series.

She has already shown off her broad acting spectrum through her previous roles in “The Last Empress,” “Chief of Staff,” and “Fight For My Way,” and will now transform into a hot-tempered reporter, Cheon Na Yeon.

“Squid Game” and “Insider” actor Heo Sung Tae will make his immediate return to the small screen in “Chronicle of Crime” and play the role of Noh Sang Cheon, an anonymous city scammer.

This refreshingly realistic crime drama is set to begin filming in the second half of 2022.
