The program of Augustin Trapenard’s first two “Grandes Libraries”
After 14 years of presentation, Francois Busnel cedes its place in this autumn of 2022 to Augustin Trapenard at the presentation of “La Grande bookstore”, the Wednesday evening literary program of France 5. For his first two programs, the now ex-presenter of “Boomerang” on France Inter will receive some of the big names who are making the literary comeback 2022, from Virginie Despentes at Laurent Gaude via Alan Mabanckou.

After fourteen years, 500 programs and more than 2000 guest authors, Francois Busnel had left the presentation of “La Grande bookstore” on Wednesday, July 6. “At 53, I want new challenges: making films and series, writing and shooting documentaries, producing new talents”he explained, specifying that he would however remain producer of the program he created in 2008. “Every Wednesday evening, I will be in control. I’m not giving up on the baby”he specifies. If he takes over the reins of the most prescribed program for books in France, Augustin Trapenard will continue his program dedicated to the book, “Plumard”, started in May 2021 on the platform GrossX.

Here is the message from François Busnel who, if he remains producer of “La Grande bookstore”, will also devote an entire week to reading the texts of Salman Rushdie to start the season of the daily pastille “Petite bookstore”.
