Ligue 1: a 3rd red card for Omlin, Nice recovers – rts.ch
Jonas Omlin has received his third red card in Ligue 1. The Swiss no2 goalkeeper was sent off in Montpellier’s 2-0 home win against Ajaccio. For its part, Nice has finally tasted success.
The Obwalden was guilty of a foul outside his box on the Burkinabé Jean Botué shortly before the break. He was expelled for the first time on January 22, 2021 at the Parc des Princes against PSG and on April 10 in Marseille.
Favre with a defense of 5
Three days after a rout against Marseille at home, Lucien Favre’s Nice raised their heads. He won 2-1 at Lille to pick up his first success of the season.
The Niçois forced the decision on 2 penalties – indisputable – converted before the break by Andy Delort and Nicolas Pépé. Even if Lille had a clear ascendancy, the Niçois did not steal anything. With a defense at 5 for the first time this season, Favre’s players did not concede many chances. They thus had bad luck on the opening of the score of the Northerners on a shot deflected into his own net by Jean-Charles Tolibo.
Note that the Vaudois coach did not field Jordan Lotomba, who had had a difficult Sunday against OM.
