After 15 years at the head of the Miss France competition, Sylvie Tellier officially announces her departure and explains: “I’m not leaving because of the arrival of Alexia Laroche-Joubert!” – Video
After seventeen years at the head of Miss France, Sylvie Tellier officially announces in an interview on the TV Mag website this night that she is leaving her post. It is Cindy Fabre, Miss France 2005, who will take over at the head of the organization of the beauty contest, in particular during the regional elections from September.
Le Parisien specifies that “Alexia Laroche-Joubert, producer in particular of “Koh-Lanta” and “Fort Boyard” – remains alone in charge of the management of the company, of which she took the reins in 2021. It is she who has chose Cindy Fabre, 36, as director of the national competition, to represent “the Miss France brand”.
As for the reasons for the departure of Sylvie Tellier, they remain rather vague. She explains in TV Mag:
“I am not leaving because of the arrival of Alexia Laroche-Joubert, who is a great television professional, but because I feel that I have achieved my objectives. (…) Now, Alexia Laroche-Joubert performs the functions of president and general manager of the Miss France company alone and has chosen Cindy Fabre to help her.
She offered me to keep an advisory role alongside them until December, which I accepted, because it was important for me to accompany our partners until the election.
On the other hand, I wanted to leave my functions now, because I did not want to launch projects for next year. This will be the role of the new teams.”
Le Parisien indicates that other Miss like Iris Mittenaere, Camille Cerf or Marine Lorphelin had been approached, but it is ultimately Cindy Fabre who will have the task of implementing the renewal of the rules of the beauty contest.
